1 John 4:9-11

Today we are writing the next few verses after yesterday's. The idea of sacrifice is unusual for our modern age & minds. That practice started in the Old Testament. Once a year, the High Priest made a sacrifice for the nation of Israel. A spotless innocent animal died because of their sins. It was a symbolic & memorable thing.

God had Jesus planned all along, but He wait for a particular time in history. Jesus became the once & for all spotless sinless being to take on the sins of everyone. Past, present, & future. The animal sacrifices & Jesus’ sacrifice, honestly is for us. It’s a loving thing to want to right the wrong that someone else did. Ya know?
