Romans 4:23-25

Our righteousness is ONLY because of Jesus. We are not nor can we ever be righteous on our own. Verse 23 gives us a big piece of information about the Bible. “It was recorded for our benefit.” Isn’t that just like God? To love us so much He planned to have everything recorded to benefit others? I’m so thankful for the Bible and I’m so glad to spend time reading and writing it every day.

Even though we technically know this, Jesus whole reason for going to the cross was to reconcile people to God. While yes, God gave free will, Adam and Eve’s choice affected everyone from that moment forward. We are born into a fallen sinful world. That means that the people who choose God are made right with Him through Jesus’ death, burial, & resurrection. What a mighty God we love and serve!
