Proverbs 3: 5-6

Trusting in a human being can be either easy or hard depending on your life experiences. At least you can SEE the human, though, right? It’s harder to trust an invisible God that you can’t see. This is where you must have several things in place:

  • You must respond to the Gospel

  • Reading the Bible is important! (and writing it too)

  • Hearing testimonies & stories of how God has moved in the lives of others

  • Looking back over your own life & recognizing the good things God did for you

When you do these things, you start to trust God, because you are getting to know Him. The only strangers we trust are people on the road driving, but we all know we can’t even trust all of them!

Trust is built in relationship. But relationship with God isn’t built, it’s you responding to His love for you. How do you trust with all your heart? I’m glad you asked… you FULLY surrender every area of your life to Him. You depend on Him & His Word, not your own heart that can be decietful. You seek Him by reading & writing His Word, praying, attending church, worshiping Him, and serving Him.

Can you think of anything I left out? What is your key take away from these verses?
