Proverbs 17:17 NIV

God created us for community. The first man, Adam, was alone at first. God realized it wasn’t good to leave him alone, so He created Eve. In a marriage, I think you should be friends first.

Not everyone is, gets, or stays married though. And that’s ok. God still created us for community. Friends are so important for our lives. GOOD friends. We don’t need those folks who tickle our ears. We need honest, up front, accountability. We also need listening ears & sound advice. Most important of all, we need praying friends! I don’t know where I’d be without my praying friends.

I hope you have those kinds of friend in your life. I know I’m thankful for mine.
