Numbers 23:18-19

Balak was a Moabite king. Israel was traveling in the wilderness and he was somewhat scared of them. He sent for Balaam because he wanted Balaam to verbally curse Israel. What I find interesting is that God spoke to Balaam, a NON Israelite person. This means he was in a relationship with God, that God spoke to him, & he relayed messages from God just like the prophets of Israel. (At the time, Moses was the only one.) This is a BIG deal! Also, Balaam was the one who talked to a donkey in Chapter 22 of Numbers.

Our verses are just one of the messages Balaam gave Balak. I don’t know about you, but it comforts me SO much to know that God does not lie or change His mind. This means we can trust what He says! Also, thankfully, we have the Bible to read as proof that when He speaks, He does things. We have the privilege of seeing the WHOLE story.

Take a look back on your life. Was there a time that God said something to you & it happened? I’d love to hear about it.
