John 5:19-21

John Chapter 5 starts off with Jesus healing a lame man. Starting in verse 16, some Jewish leaders began harassing Him for breaking the Sabbath rules. I love His reply in verse 17, “The Father is always working and so I am.” That just helps me so much this morning. Even when we think He isn’t working, He is.

I believe verse 21 is both figurative and literal. We KNOW there are people who God and Jesus raise from the dead in the New Testament specifically. We aren’t seeing that a lot in our modern world, but I know it still happens. Figuratively, we can see the dead “things” in our lives be resurrected. Like hopes & dreams, relationships, talents, skills, and hobbies. God has the power to resurrect anything and everything. Is there anything in your life that you feel like needs to be resurrected?
